94 ford wiring problem

94 ford wiring problem

ok my plug on the top of the fuel pump is melted and until 2day i could get no juice to it...so i finally tried the inertia switch, switch was out and needs 2 b pushed in after pushing it in im geting 8.5volts or so...but that still dosent make the fuel pump humm or buzz or w/e..also when i put the plug onto the pump it jumps down 2 around half a volt..i hardwired the fuel pump and it buzzez so its not the pump....ive switched out the relays with one another and unless there all bad thats not the problem either.....i hope some 1 can please help me with this i have no clue whats wrong with the damn thing...thanks guys
