Check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder. If it is low it will turn on both lights.

The fluid was low. more than likely i have a slow leak somewhere now if it would just stop raining i could find out where.

the wheel cylinder ended up being bad, the emergency brake was rusted so it was partially ingaged the whole time, my shoes were worn all the way down to the rivits, and my adjuster screw was stuck. stops woderfuly now!
