abs wheel sensor

abs wheel sensor
On my 98 4x4 the front left abs sensor is acting up. When you are almost stopped the abs kicks in and lets the LF brake loose. Can the sensor just be cleaned and reinstalled or do I need a new one....before I tear it apart. Also anybody know the going price for the sensor.

you can try to clean it. but it probley wont fix it.

the sensor costs right around 100 bucks and that is your problem

Autozone- $128.00
Ebay- $89.00
Here's the suprise...local ford dealer...70.00
Go figure!

they must have just droped the price. 3 months ago they were just over 100
