Auto Down windows
Auto Down windows
Will any auto down window buttons work. I am wanting lighted switches and I am contemplating moving my window switches. Does anyone know if any auto down switches will work. I know the wires will be diff. but is there a way to splice in new switches so that I can have lighted ones.
You dont swap in new switches to get auto down windows. You add the modules from a donor car.

As far as lighted switches. You will be blazing a trail on your own for that. The explorer stuff is completely different.

Yea I read about the auto down from the taurus. but I already have auto down on my switch was wondering if another switch that is lighted from another vehicle will work minuse splicing some wires
This mod can add auto down to the passenger window, also it will do auto up. You can swap switch covers off a ranger. So they all say auto on them.
As far as back lit switches you might be on your own. I can tell you the explorer lighted stuff is way different. You might be able to some plastic welding to create a hybrid door panel then paint it. Again you would be on your own for that. Check into 2 door explorers. Im not sure what other ford 2 doors have lighted switches.

I'm not worried about them not fitting back into the door panel, I have aspirations of moving the switches to another location. Just needed input on the lighted switches and if the wires are set up similar to another model vehicle.
