Auto shifter cable after BL is acting up, need info
Not sure if the cable is too lose or too tight, but here is the scenario.
Truck is in Park, it will go down R, N, D, 2, and 1, coming back up (from right to left on the console) is the issue. EX: If I am in D, I can put it in 2 or 1, but not N, R or Park. From N, I can put it in D, 2 and 1, but not R or Park. Hopefully its clear enough lol
When I need to put it in park from any lower gear, I have to do it manually, i.e. get under the truck. I clipped the cable back to the firewall but it keeps popping out when I try to go back up. Should I make a mount to hole it in place? Is the problem closer to the tranny?
You guys helped me out big time on the starting issue, hopefully I am worthy enough for another one haha

Here is what it looks like at the tranny.

The black box at the top moves, not sure if it should be connected to the clip. There is only a round plastic part clipped and its only to keep the cable steady

Mine's been a little funny since my bodylift, sometimes I have to start in neutral and sometimes can't get into park. I think there's supposed to be an adjuster where the cable attaches to the tranny. But I haven't been under to look yet. I know there is an adjuster under the steering column, but if there's one on the transmission end I'll start there.
looks like you ripped it out of the mount from lifting the drivers side of the cab too high, might have to replace it...seems like the cab went on a rough ride by the looks of the cable and the inertia switch
