Bed Extender
Have the option to pick up a bed extender for a decent price, and I was just wondering if the factory bed extender from a newer Mazda B4000 will be the same as my '07 Ranger?
I'm sorry if this has been covered, I did a quick search and couldn't come up with a definite answer.
I would assume it would fit fine being that the same box is used on the STX, but I'd just like to know for sure before I drive an hour to get it.
Thanks!

lol I figured it would fit... just got an email back from him and he said someone with a Ranger came a while back and it wouldn't fit? He didn't say if it was old or new or box style though.
I just took a measurement of my truck... 51.5" across where the extender mounts.
Not the I don't trust the replies, but does anyone have an STX or Mazda bed who could verify that measurement before I drive an hour to get it?

Sounds good! But if it doesn't.... it's all your fault.

That's not what I wanted to hear! lol I could have had one off a Sport Trac like 2 months ago for even cheaper but I was told it wouldn't fit!
nah... the center hole has an aluminum sleeve in it... you thread the mounting posts into it and it cuts the threads as it goes... so shouldn't be much of a problem, there. the top and bottom holes are for the holding pins to push into, so you may not have to do any cleanup at all on them....

It's actually the afternoon that I'm going to be out of town to get the bed extender. If you were going to be in London in the morning we could meet up though.
