I have a 2002 so I have no idea what you have to cut for the 97, Carriage Works is a good brand but there are cheaper on eBay and most are good quality.. My logo simply unbolted, again not sure about 97's but someone else should know..

Chek out Ebay. They have the billet grills for our trucks fro around $50-100.(dont remember exactly). And when you take out the stock grill the emblem can be removed, its(the emblem) held in if i remember right by one bolt. You can access it once you remove the grill, its just right behind the emblem. And the grills are one piece, no cutting required

I had the 93-94 4x4 grill so when I put in my billet grill I had to buy the top piece and 2 corner pieces for the grill
