solid man. i like how it works with yours since you dont have the massive directional under your headlights. with me, my headlight isnt affected, but the blinker and side marker are the ones that alternate.

i kinda wish my headlights blinked now....

mikerider 03-19-2007 05:21 PM

its not the headlight its self that flashes its the amber factory flasher and the corner light that flash, thanks for the compliment its a cool simple mod.

IR0NS1N 03-19-2007 06:24 PM

How did you do that is there a sticky on it?

Fx4wannabe01 03-19-2007 07:00 PM

should be a how-to on here for it. Great mod.....have had it on the truck for more than 2 years...no problems.

Strider0O0 03-19-2007 07:03 PM

this was one of the easier and worth-while mods i've done. i love it!

mikerider 03-19-2007 07:35 PM

very simple just connect the ground wire from the corner light to the flasher light wire. on my truck its cut the black wire and splice to the green and white wire.

jtfoxman 03-19-2007 08:15 PM

That is on eof the coolest mods I've seen on here! Also seems like on of the easiest to do.

ah makes sense...your flasher is inside the headlight assembly...(totally useless from a sideview then so this mod really makes sense for your gen)

this is how chevy trucks have been wired since the 70's

very nice though never thought to do it to somethign that didnt come like that..

that's the best part about this mod for our gen trucks.. people all the time would tell me my turn signals weren't flashing... i'd have to explain that it's just an amber corner lense, or a marker light... doing the blinker mod freed up a lot of confusion, lol.

Wait so green wire with white stripe? competely unground the corner light and just splice it into the green wire with a white stripe?

ya it works wierd.. the one lamp ground through the other lamp so at one point one bulb has power at bolth ends and therefore cannot turn on thats why they take turns when they flash

I was about to research how do this, then I actually looked at how my truck worked. On my Mazda, the side marker lights are the blinkers from factory. I guess since they use the smaller headlights for styling reasons, they didn't incorporate the blinkers on the front like the Rangers. So, no need to do the mod I guess. (Kinda strange how they set it up like that on the Ranger's twin, and not on the Ranger itself?)

Trigger01 03-21-2007 07:01 PM

I like it. I plan to do it one day.

htvfd460stx 03-21-2007 07:44 PM

In the vids they look like a Code3 rotator!!! NICE!!!

BOBO 06-27-2007 09:02 PM

it looks like a cop car or something can you get pulled over for it?

GrafixGuy 06-27-2007 09:07 PM

haha... my friend said that... i like it, too easy to pass up

99ranger4x4 06-27-2007 09:14 PM

it took me like 30 minutes, instructions threw me off once, blew a fuse, but the mod is useful and easy, and i like it

took me an hour, wanted it to look OEM... I like it though, looks good at night, esp. with the new style corners...

DaneTrain 06-27-2007 09:54 PM

Yup. I love it. First mod...well, minus taking off the pinstrips on my truck. I love it. No problems in 2+ years.

GrafixGuy 06-27-2007 09:59 PM
