brake line leak

I just replaced the wheel cylinder and brake shoes on my 99 and I can't seem to hook the brake line up to the wheel cylinder without it leaking. I've tightened it as much as I can but it still leaks. Wonder if I may be missing an o-ring or something? This was on the driver side rear wheel.

No o-rings there, it just seals on the flare. Is it a new line? Have a look at the flare and make sure it was done properly.

Check the inside of the cylinder where the line goes in... I've seen issues there as well before.

lsf53,

How did you work this out or did you ?

Old lines, if the nut is not inserted properly it will cross threads, once you have driven the nut portion in with crossed threads forget it, get a new one; you might try rethreading but it is a b!tch !

Once you over-tighten the flare it will leak forever.
