Broken headlight switch?
Broken headlight switch?
So I have a 97 Mazda B4000, which as far as I can tell is a rebranded Ranger. The **** came off the headlight switch and the switch is loose inside the dash. If you're careful you can wiggle the **** on long enough to turn the lights off and on, but the process is tedious. We found its easier to use a pair of pliers to grip the shaft. However, this also doesn't have a 100% success rate and with the switch bouncing around loose, I feel like eventually we're going to break something.
From what I've seen in videos, there are two screws that held it in place. What I'm wondering is whether the switch itself broke and the screws are still in place, or the did the plastic molds for the screws snap off the dash? I'm hoping its just the switch, but I'd rather not tear the dash apart to find out im wrong and have to do the same job twice. So, is it even possible that the dash itself broke, or can anyone confirm this isn't possible and its 100% the switch that is broken?
