Can I add this?

I already have an aftermarket alarm system and would like to get a keyless entry system. Is there a way to integrate the two so I don't have two remotes? The alarm I have is a Viper, about five years old now. I've heard good things about the A-1 products. Will theirs work, or do I need to start from scratch?

if the alarm remote has the lock/unlock button you should be able to. there should be wires from the alarm that goes to the power lock module but there might not be if you had the alarm professionally installed

Yes some aftermarket keyless entry systems can be integrate to work with alarm systems. I would suspect the Viper Alarm already has outputs for power door locks. If so you'd just need to add the relays to control the door lock acutators. Or you can add the keyless entry (effectively just using it for the relays).

It was professionally installed, so all I have to do now is figure out where they put the damn thing and have a look at the outputs. Hopefully they're there. How do I hook up relays for aftermarket locks?

You'll need a copy of the installation manual schematics for your model. If it has dual pulse you'll have two choices, one way opens and locks both doors. The other opens only the drivers door and a second click will open both doors.

If you want to put in your own relays you can wire them up as follows (note this is wired for dual pulse):
