I bought my Ranger from a buddy when we served together and the owner before him had an aftermarket security system installed. When he sold it to me he showed me how to disable it with the remote. I was doing some small maintenance about a week ago and without thinking about it I disconnected the battery and upon reconnecting it I immediately regretted my decision. The damn thing wont turn off!

Its like it has a mind of its own! Everything is setting it off. I kid you not, too strong of a wind and off it goes. I had to disconnect the horn. I have no clue about car security systems but I know its wired in good 'cause the blue light pops out of my dash next to the steering wheel. I have tried every combination of the buttons on the remote but to no avail. It keeps draining my battery with its 30 second hazard flashing every time it goes off.

My buddy, rest his soul, is no longer with us so I can't ask him. Someone please help! Its driving me crazy!


This is a picture of the remote for the system. The logo says "VISION" but I've googled all I can and cant find anything about it. If anyone recognizes it or knows about universal car alarms I would really appreciate it.

try the reset on the bottom of the page. if that doesn't work find the actual alarm module under the dash to get the model # off the box.
