Usually I start the truck without incident and then other times, usually in an intersection or blocking the way somewhere, or in a hurry, I cant get the starter to spin. I used to think it was the lock out switch on the clutch. But it will, the next time, start like nothing had happened.
Today I tried for several minutes and, embarrassed, I thrned it over to my Son in law. But he couldnt get it to spin either. Just turn the key and nothing happens. Then after trying for several minutes it fired up. Battery is NOT the problem.
Any ideas???

 

I think I found the problem. The key is difficult to turn and sometimes I dont get it far enough to the right. I have to turn it off and back on. Maybe some graphite lock lube will remedy the problem.
