Cruise Control

Hi. New here. Just bought a 2001 Ranger XLT and my question is, when i press the ON button for cruise will I get any type of light on the dash? I have read that once I set the speed I will get a "Speed control" light on the dash. Just curious If I will get an indication when pressing the ON button. Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the forum! Nope, you won't get any light or other indication by pressing the ON button for your speed control. That simply activates it for use. After activating, bring the truck up to the desired speed and press the SET button like most other makes (the Speed Control indicator will light up). Once set, you can press the SET button again and it will speed the truck up 2 MPH for each press. Pressing the CST (coast) button) decreases the speed by 2 MPH. The RESUME button returns you to your last set speed after tapping the brake pedal.
