Cruise Control

Well usually I can get about 100miles with 1/4 of a tank with cruise control, but since my truck has starting this "choking" while in CC I get about 60 or even 40miles with 1/4tank.

What would cause the choking feeling? It almost feelings like the engine cuts out for 1/5 of a second or someone taps the brakes. You can feel it in the cab, and it only happens when its in cruise control going about 45+. Also the On and Off buttons for the CC get really, really hot while it is on.

130k miles are causing me problems.

Hey it's a cheap part and even if it doesn't solve the problem your truck probably needed it anyway.

why would the buttons get hot though could be a loose wire or something. But definetly try the fuel filter change. Your truck probably needs it.
