Custom backup camera install

Measured, and dilled a hole as low as possible on my liftgate.

Made an access hole in the front (truck has a bed cover, so you will never see this hole)

Found a grommet that fit my camera, and also the hole

POR over all of the cut areas (to prevent rust)

Results:

I'm happy, I think it looks like factory.

Looks good, it would take a lot of ***** to drill into a perfectly good tailgate.

Nice & clean install.

Looks like you're back in the states now with a (gulp) Mazda... we won't hold that against you though

Hello,
I am kinda new to this forum and so did a 'search' on backup camera's and your post here came up. There must be a 'first part' but did not see it? I too have a Mazda; a B4000 2010 4x4. I want to put a back-up camera on my truck. The models I've seen have the camera mount on the license plate area. But my real question is what brand of camera and monitor did you buy? Is the clarity and 'definition' of picture good? Do you recommend what you bought? Difficulty of installation?

Thanks
