I know somewhere along the line they changed the orientation of the locking cam bolt. It used to run front to back (in relation to the truck), now it goes side to side.
I can't remember which year it was, but they did change it. I was chatting with someone who wanted to do the FX4 shifter, and it turned out their truck was too old and had the front/back alignment.

John, If I was to let then use my olfdshift arm, what would I get out of it?
Just curious, as I have one laying around.

We would need the shift lever to supply a quotation. We could manufacture almost anything, but we do not know the demand for the Ranger lever. The GM lever we sell is a fast mover therefore the price is extremely attractive. If you supply us with a physical lever we can supply you with a quotation.Â

Thank You,

<-------- basically what they told me. Theres no promises. Its all in hope that they will fab something cool for our trucks. I cant say you'll get a free one. only a quote on costs. and a lever you can purchase.
