Ok, I'm getting tired of this, 80% of the time when I clsoe my driver's side door, the mirror will move and point down to the ground instead of back out. I'm forever having to re-adjust it. Is there a way to modify it to fix it, and/or will the dealer replace it under warranty?

I would have it replaced under warranty. Our black Ranger is a year older than yours and has the same style mirror and it doesn't do that.

As long as there's no impact marks indicating it was hit, they will warranty it.

I was hoping to avoid warrantying it because I work 70hrs a week and its a huge hassle for me to get my truck into the shop..

Has anyone ever disassembled the mirror? Does the lense snap in and out?

Hey, sorry to revive an ancient thread, but I thought it would be better than creating a new one. The mirrors in my 97 are doing the exact same thing as Wowak's, they droop down every few days, just often enough to be annoying. Has anyone else dealt with this and is it supposed to be an involving process to fix this sucker? Thanks.
