Window crunching

My drivers side window makes kind of a crunching/hitting noise sometime during its travel. does it once going up and once on the way back down. Like it's hitting and obstruction or grinding on something.

What gives?

I would take your door panel off and see if you can see what it is.

The same thing happened to me. I just the door panel off and cleaned it all up. Never had a problem again. Some mud had gotten down in the track.

I have had sand in the track make some noise. I tend to pull the skins, clean, and lube the windows once a year.

The module for my automatic windows had came loose and was just hanging out in the open. so the window was hitting that on the way up and down. no harm done, it's all fixed. just so you all know.

Use some double sided tape or velcro.
