So here's the situation. I recently bought the factory Vehicle Security System (VSS) for my '07 xlt. I didn't have the dealer install it cause they wanted 500 bucks for install. Unfortunately it didn't come with an install guide (prob why they wanted 500 for install). I found a basic install guide for it online that applies to all ford vehicles that it fits, and I also found a vehicle specific wiring diagram, but for '04-'06. It seems to fit my application, but after looking under the dash some of the wire colors don't match up. Basically does anyone have an '07 wiring diagram, or installed one of these before that can help?

Thats BS that ford wouldnt install it! your truck is still under warranty right? I would go in there and ***** about it. $500 is INSANE, when I bought my truck, it took them 15 minutes to install the alarm

Its not "factory" its a dealer installed alarm made by Ford. Its universal to all ford vehicles.

It honks when you open a door with it on, thats it. Definately not worth $500 to install.

To further answer the question, any car audio shop should be able to hook it up for you for a lot less than $500. I wish I could give you more info, but I know nothing
