HELP!! at times when I shift into 4wheel drive it does not lock in and the 4wheel drive high and low lights flash back at me. at other times things work just fine and the low 4wheel lights up and it locks in.
could this be a faulty transfer case shift motor and wiring problem?

 

Had the same problem , replaced 1/4 in tubing on each front wheel hub , works fine now. 5 bucks.

 

Gary give some info on your truck. The shifter motor is known to go in these trucks. Try shifting into 4wd, if you hear it click or try to then a couple good hits with a hammer to the motor usually helps but its on its wat out. If not the motor needs replacing.
