Hey! I'm getting a new computer (pcm) tomorrow for my 1994 ranger. It's the automatic xlt 4.0 6 cylinder 2wd.
Can you let me know which cars I can pull the comp from? And from what year, to what year?

Looks like the first link, first car is the best for it? But it's a b4000. Second link has the ranger.

Links can't work as they are searches so only specific to your computer most of the time


1993 or 1994 Ranger will work, NOT earlier or later, only those 2 years
First Mazda B4000 was 1994 and it would work, but only the 1994, not 1995 and up

Must be for automatic trans
Must match EGR system or no EGR system, 1994 should have no EGR system unless it was sold in California

2WD or 4x4 doesn't matter

 

4x4 doesn't matter? And they shouldn't have egr. That's good to know thanks man!

 

2WD or 4x4 doesn't matter to the computer in any year Ranger, 4WD always used a separate controller, the 4WD controller changed over the years but was never connected to engine computer(PCM)
