so you know the reminder you truck has for you when you turn your off and open your door and your lights are on....bong bong bong real fast.... you know and idiot alarm!

so i can have everything off. lights off and truck off dead... i still get a beep or bong (call it what you will) but only when the door is open... i can trick it by closing the gate on the door latch.

it doesnt always do it but it quite literaly randomly does it.... and more often than not it is doing it rather than not. but i can open the door and not get anything sit down and.....bong bong bong....

im sure its probly a grond of sorts, due to the intermitance.

The truck will chime when you open the door and the keys are in the ignition.

 

i get the same thing. but i figure as long as it doesnt do it while im driving its just a little thing and i dont really care too much..

i try to ignore it but its drivin me nuckin futts!

 

Is it the fast chime? If so next time you hear it try jiggling the headlight switch and see if it goes off.

 

tried it.... gone as far as removing and inspecting the light switch... sometimes when its not and i move the wheel just a touch it goes off.

 

Do you have an aftermerket alarm that flashes the lights or keep them on when you get out? I'm not sure if the truck chimes with the stock keyless entry system.

 

no key less no alarm... there is a light in th dash that says THEFT and blinks red when the truck is off... pretty sure thats normal tho

 

Yeah that's the PATS telling you its working. Hmmm. I wonder what it could be.

i dug out the control box in the dash and put a screw through the little speaker....
