Fuel Injector Wiring

I have a 89 Ranger 2.9 that i got off my brother which he tore apart and I am now getting it back together to drive around. Only problem I have is he too the injector wires off the injectors and I do not know which plug goes to which injector. Does anybody know how to tell which plug goes to which injector? I

The injectors in your 88 engine fire "bank-to-bank". That means that 3 injectors fire at a time on one side of the V6 and then 3 more fire together on the opposite side. So it doesn't matter which connector goes to which injector in a particular bank of 3. Plug them in where they fit the best.

The closest wiring book I have is 1989. 88 is probably the same.
All 89 driver side injector connectors should have tan and red wires.
All 89 passenger side injector connectors should have white and red wires.
