Another good place is performancelifts.com

Thats where I got mine, you can choose the options with aal's and shocks. I got spindles, shocks(front and rear), and aal for $650.00 plus shipping. If you do that I would suggest a PA body lift too.

I would suggest front and rear hitches with a multimount winch. This way you can slowly learn how your truck is going to handle offroad without the fear of not being able to get unstuck.

i just bought the spindles from them and then bought my AALs and chevy shackles from summitracing.com since i did not want blocks.

i'm thinking of getting the LS Diff first, then tires. I'm not so sure if I will need the lift since most of florida is pretty flat (at least where i live) and where I go it's mostly just mudding terrain. Where should i go to buy a relatively inexpensive but good (if that makes sense) LS?

sounddeveloper 03-13-2008 10:56 AM

if you are looking to be inexpensive i suggest geting a 3 inch body lift and it is fairly simple to do with the detailed insturctions most will send you that way you can put your money towards some tires probobly some 33x12.5 anything skinnier than that will look like pizza cutter

S1att3r 03-13-2008 10:58 AM

ive been thinking about a body lift but id prefer a suspension lift.

04blackedge 03-13-2008 11:13 AM

I really wouldn't skimp out on a cheap LS, go ahead and get a good one from the start so you don't have to worry about it later.

sounddeveloper 03-13-2008 11:14 AM

they are the better lift no argument their but if your trying to keep it cheap its the way to go. lift kits cost easliy $1500 and are a real pain in the ass to install with our independant suspension. And we all now how expensive off road tires can be another option you can do is do the body lift and do a couple more inches with a torsion bar crank so you can have around a 4.5 lift for about a $150 besides tires

sounddeveloper 03-13-2008 11:22 AM

well the its up to the owner of the truck what you want to do it all depends on how much money you want to spend if you have the money go suspension lift in my opinion

S1att3r 03-13-2008 11:24 AM

i can get a 3" spindle lift with a 3" aal for around $600

sounddeveloper 03-13-2008 11:27 AM

damn good price i would go with that no questions about it but definatly get some tires to compliment the lift you got any ideas yet

S1att3r 03-13-2008 11:30 AM

right now i have 31s on the rear but stock size on the front.
lift first then the tires.

2wd lifts are cheap, the expensive lifts are 4wd and long travel stuff. You can be fully lifted with a 2wd for under 800 bucks.

RangerJustin 03-13-2008 12:47 PM

i lifted my 2wd for $400...(that includes front and back)

and to the comment about suspension lifts being $1500...thats only for 4wd...2wd coil sprung or torsion can get spindle lifts for $300 (it can be $1500 if you do LT like mentioned above though...depending on how far you take it...)

04blackedge 03-13-2008 01:09 PM

Yep, if you watch the forums for people selling there stuff you can find them super cheap.

my stuff was all new...

the costly stuff are the wheels and tires...mostly the tires depending on which route you take on wheels...

04blackedge 03-13-2008 01:28 PM

Whered you get your spindles for under 300 from????

RangerJustin 03-13-2008 02:04 PM

they were 299 delivered...
http://sporttrucksuspension.com/RANGERLIFT.HTM

$50 for shackles, $35 for AAL

04blackedge 03-13-2008 02:22 PM

Are those for the Edges too? I thought they were like 600 bucks.

Seroth 03-13-2008 02:25 PM

LSD and tires, then sell the tires when i get the lift to buy new tires.
I've got the places to buy the lift; where to buy the LS?

gotta get prices on the tires and wheels i want though.

04blackedge 03-13-2008 02:30 PM

You can get the LS from summitracing.com

Hellion 03-13-2008 04:32 PM

except when you have coils shocks and dropped pitman arm. heim joins. and drop brackets for both I-Beams AND Control arms. than it gets to be like 1250. after labor of course. if you can do it yourself and than have it aligned you can generally save yourself about 400 bucks. but thats only if you know what your doing. and on top of that. thats if you have I-Beams. which he doesnt because hes neither a 97 and older. nor is he 4wd.
