General Performance question.

I have a 2.3, ive already had exhaust and intake done to it. 4.56 gears. 31's for my tires. basicly ive got a tune up question. ive recieved two brand new Accel ignition coils for my truck. and im making refreshments here and there. just a general tune up. my question is. what kind of a difference will these make for my truck? anyone have experience using them? pros cons? thanks.

From what I understand the stock coil understanding that it's not worn out is all you will ever need for a stock 2.3.

You wont get much on a stock motor.

Coil gains alone are dependant on the rest of the engine.

Example:
2.3L, fully built, turbo, whatever whatever...running a stock coil.

Probably pickup noticeably with an aftermarket coil.

Stock 2.3L, CAI, Muffler...stock coil vs aftermarket isn't going to be anywhere near as much improvement. ...imo

Every bolt on out there and you might see a bit more gain but in the end its a 4 cylinder.

Well I may have a 4.0 but its not that fast. I'm sure a upgraded coil pack wouldn't help my truck that much either. 4.0 Tacos are faster anyway.

I would honestly rather have the Yota. I bought my truck because it was cheaper and because I didn't have a lot of $$ when I bought it.

Its not my cat. When someone made a thread about cat armor I did a Yahoo search and that pic popped up.

Ah you failed to leave that part out. I could beat a super charged taco if it wasn't tuned either. The new ones 04+ are really quick.

Yeah you said 02 Taco. Those have no ***** at all even supercharged. I was talking about 05 and up. Those have a 4.0 and the 04 and under have a very good but weak 3.4.

I found a 07 that I'm looking at. 24K miles, 4wd extended cab, TRD offroad, auto. $22K. My payment would be $400 a month if I get $2500 for my truck.
