Programmer. Are you auto? If so you can remove the 3500 RPM,or whatever it is, limit when in neutral or park too.

Thanks FD, seems a lil pricey, is it worth it, and would this void my bumper to bumper?
Oh, and I'm auotmatic.

I would say yes it would. But your an 03 so unless you have a huge extended warranty, your off it anyway.

I got a 2 year bumber to bumber, so I guess I can't really mod anything for awhile, aye?

I don't have one yet but I have heard it's the mod that gives you the most bang for your buck. If anything happens the programmer saves the stock tune and you can download it back into the PCM.

And no mod will void your warranty unless it's proven to cause damage. So lets say you run a 100 shot of nitrous and your tranny dies. If you go in for warranty work on the tranny and they prove that the extra power from the nitrous burned you tranny up they they will void your warranty.

The thing is that the dealer has to be able to prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure to void warranty. But since a programmer changes so much.... I don't really know. I'm waiting till my warranty is gone before I buy one just to be safe.

I'd like one too, maybe I can find somebody here in the Pittsburgh area to share theres.
It's not like I NEED TO GO OVER 90MPH, but dog gone, I crave speed. Add since I'm sooo used to my 93xlt 2.3 (I had it for over 10 years!), my 03 FX4 feels like a Rocket!

there's so much I'd like to do to my truck, I'll have to make a list of stuff that won't void my warrenty.

You can't share a tuner they are locked to the first PCM they flash and it'll only work on the code it was made for. (4 digit code is on your PCM (on the firewall))

If your worried about a warrenty then don't get a tuner. They can tell not only tell if it's been flashed.. but how long ago it was reflashed back to stock.

You can't share tunes. It's one tuner for one truck and if you want to sell the tuner then you have to set your truck to stock and then the new owner has to get it reprogrammed for his/her truck.

You wont void it. I have been in many times for warranty work and I have never been denied work even with all my stuff on the truck. You will be fine.
