9004 9007 Complete Head Lamp Wiring with Relay System Kit
basically it takes the load off of your internal headlight switch wiring
the power to the headlights comes directly from your battery power
the headlight switch is just used to trigger the relay on
HID`s on the cheap

How is that anything like HIDs?
A relay kit is recommended to run with HIDs, that doesn't have anything to do with the output though. Justs helps them work better/ last longer
You can get them on eBay for half that price

14.2 volts straight to your headlights
instead of just 12.1 volts from the fuse panel
the same setup as the HID kits , their power comes directly from the battery as well
( well the full alternator power output anyway )

they still won't be anything like HID's.
HIDs use the ballast to increase the power going to the lights, this kit has nothing to do that.
I asked about that kit on RF and Shane said, "well, considering your headlight switch just tells a relay to turn on/off the headlights that are already fed straight from the battery, I don't see how this would be beneficial"
I really want to know if the kit is worth buying instead of just getting some heavy duty pigtails like these:

the mechanic at my dealership stated to me that the headlights are not fed straight from the battery
( i asked the same question when i had my ranger serviced at 45,000 kliks )
if your head lights become brighter when the engine rpm`s increase then the lights are battery fed
those things are just wiring extensions

does that kit bypass the headlight switch altogether? So that your lights are always on?
Seems like it does....youve got 2 new relays to mount somewhere, you plug the new plugs into the relays, run the new ground wires, run the new hotwires to your battery and the new 9007 pigtails to your headlamps and youre done. The stock wiring to the switch is no longer active. Unless i'm missing something. I'm not an electrical guy
can someone clarify?

here is the reason why i bought the one from LMC.

everytime the headlights were one, the switch became very hot.
carquest sells the pigtail:

and this is the LMC harness i used.

headlight switch stays cool to the touch now.

the one lmc sells doesn't bypass the switch. it uses the switch to trigger the relays instead of pulling all the current through the headlight switch. the relays get their power directly from the battery.
but its still plug and play, correct?
pretty much. you have to connect it to your battery and grounds, and one side plugs into the driver's side stock headlight socket, then branches to both headlights. as you can see in my picture, all the connections were labeled so you know where they go.
