So I\'m going back to halogen bulbs. I remove the housings and install the first bulb. Goes good that side ( passenger ) is done. Take out the drivers side and install the 9007 and it will not fit at all. The little alignment tab or pin things and too close on the bottom. The HID fit perfect I noticed it said 9004/7 on the bulb so I went to wally world and got a 9004. Fit perfect.

Issues

High beam indicator dim when off

High beams only work on 9007

Different brightness

One is brighter

Any ideas

The 9004s and 9007s are wired differently. Low beam on a 9004 system is high beam on a 9007 system. Also 9007 usually have higher light output. And finally 9004 tabs are oriented different than 9007s positioning the bulb differently that it was designed to be used. All in all go buy a new 9007 and try it. maybe your housing is screwed up a lil or the bulb you had before is.

I have bought 4 sets of 9007 and nothing fits. I'm so lost. Could I notch the 9007 so it fits?

The housing was made for a 9004. I filed down the little alignment tabs on the housing. I left the top center one. Fits great.
