It probably depends on how much driving one does and with winter taking a bad toll on the roads, the extra bumps may indeed shorten the life out of the bulb.

Hey, im a newbie from Ga and i just bought a 92 ford ranger. and my headlights just went out going down the road one day. i put a new headlight switch in it and that didnt fix it so i put 2 9007 bulbs in it and the headlights still dont work. im not very good at all with electrical stuff but dose anyone think it could be the dimmer switch on the column. if not then i guess its in the wiring couse i got fire at the headlight switch but i dont have fire wher the bulb plugs in. so its between the firewall out write? i now it aint the fuses i checked them all. any help would be great thanx...

I know this isnt really about headlights but my ranger has foglights and there is no switch inside for them i the pulled off the radio dash and found the switch plug inside is there somehow i can buy a plug with a wire so i can run it through the dash to a switch so i can use them?
