Heater not working

I recently purchased an 89 Ranger and the heater is not working. There was a problem with the blend door that so many others have had that I fixed with one of the quick fixes I found here. I know that the blend door is working now, but I'm still not getting any heat.

What should I check? The engine temperature seems to be normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Matt

Don't know much about 89's but how's the heater core and the lines running to it? Maybe the temp cable? Heater core have it's own fuse? I had one clogged on my 79 f150 before. Got new hoses and all was well.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. After letting the truck heat up, I followed the hoses back to the heater core and the main hose out of the radiator was warm, one of the hoses to the heater core was warm and the other was COLD. I guess my first step is to replace that hose and hopefully the clog is there and not in the core.

Thanks again.
