help with extended vent tubes

I'm going to install these on both diffs, trans, and transfer case. Before I start could anyone help with a parts list, such as how much tubing I should buy? Also, where did you run them and did you use a filter? Thanks

You shouldn’t need a filter type breather just a venting breather.
Summit has a few different ones.

As far as a parts list, don’t have one but if you think on it.
Where will you mount the Breathers… measure from there in a straight line towards the axle/TC/component or what ever you are venting.
Add on 3’ for height and some as a safety measure; don’t ant to run out.
Do that for any and all of the breathers you want to install.

Order the number of breathers you want to install and either mounts or fittings needed for them.
Now all you need to do is figure what are the connectors on the component you are venting, that may require you crawling under the truck and looking.

There you have it and if you do this, make a list of what you used and how you did it and write up a How-To for the Site and for the next guy.

Not being an @ss just thinking out loud.

Cool, thanks. Did you extend the stock hose or replace it?

Well thanks for all that, but part of the question was where you ran them to. The length depends on the location.

Also, I've been told not to use a breather. It will let air out but not in, so it goes in through the axle seals (a bad thing when in the water). Thats the theory at least.

Interesting, maybe now some of you guys will start to think about what you are doing and stop asking questions… NOT ! LoL

What I meant is think about where YOU want the VENTS, where you have room for them, then you have the lengths, logically just get them up as high as practical in your application...
