HMMM... Just for kicks. (4BT)

Just curious as to what it would take to transfer this to a ranger. Not so much on the technical side but what are the major things I would have to do besides tranny, maybe front suspension upgrade too? Could my 8.8 handle it? Is $3,000 a lot for it? is 2,800 hours a lot for a deisel? just curious not saying i'm going to take it on. It looks like I would have to move the turbo? I am fully aware I am crazy .

Thats about the average price I have seen. And it would take a lot. Trans, motor mounts and a whole lot of custom work.

it wouldnt be as bad as you think. Weight is right around a small block v8. And as for the 8.8 i think it would hold. Diesel power is smoother than gas so its not that bad on stuff. Moving the turbo isnt hard at all. Just get an offset manifold for it. The trans is the issue but destroked and fordcummins makes about every plate you can think of to run whatever trans you want

I mean really its not to bad, All the gauge sending unit outputs are the same. motor mounts wouldnt be bad as its a smaller motor than what you have now and rather similar to 2.3 mounts. I am not saying bolt in but it sure seems easier than some other motors that have been put into rangers
