How to get more light output??

I want both my headlights and foglights to put out more light on my 07 ranger 4x4 xlt... I would get a pair of aftermarket foglights for the front but I don't wanna get a brush guard or bull guard on the front so I don't wanna mount the foglights with the stock bumper... So what bulbs can I put in my foglights and headlights to get a lot more light? What brand and stuff? Is it a big difference in light output?

if your fog lights use the 9145 bulb (42 watts) you can upgrade to a 9005 bulb (65 watts) as for the headlights, you could just go online and find a 9007 thats higher wattage, something higher than the stock wattage. but, don't go too high, or you'll run the risk of housing meltage and wiring damage.

Are you looking to run them on the highway? If so, you can't run a 150 wt anything on the street.

Replace your headlights (9007) with silverstars. Do your fogs too (9005). They're noticeably brighter than stock for not a whole lot of $$ compared to good hids.

You can always add higher watt lighting later, but don't put more than 55-60watts through the factory wiring, it's waaay too mickey mouse.

Also you can get the light mount tabs, there's 2 holes in behind your bumper that they mount to.

^^ What he said ^^
I've had this setup for years and it works flawless. Much better than stock and without giving your wire harness a meltdown.

NO!!! None of your stock wiring will support plugging in 150 watt lights. It will meltdown faster than you can get from 0-60. I'm not even sure you can buy a 150 watt 9007 or 9005 replacement bulb to begin with. If you are talking add-on off-road lights, then you would need to use a relay and substantial wiring to power them.

If you've got $$ to burn on bright off road lights, http://www.lightforce.com/

Tony Soprano had them on his suburban.

fog lamps are useless and illegal over 55 watt, so the 65 watt bulbs are pushing it. don't go higher.
