not hard at all.. the only hard thing with alarms is finding all the neccessary wiring to tap into.

 

Do you have that one? If so, what will I need to tap into?

you should be able to do it yourself. its an alarm/remote start, so be prepared to do lots of wiring. most of the wiring will be behind the drivers-side lower panel under the steering wheel. depending on how you wire it, you may also need to remove your doors and some other miscellaneous panels, and youll need to find a location for the brain.

give yourself a full day or two to tackle it :o)

dont buy those off brands there nothing but problems. Becareful with the door triggers theyll give you a headache

 

id stick with DEI and really Viper....

 

Gosh, now I've got to get a Viper one or something...

alarms come with free install. You can get a decent viper for about 250. They may charge you a somethin for install cuz those door triggers suck. It varies from best buy to best buy

 

i remember mine being a ***** for the dumbass that installed mine.. he didnt know you had to put diode's in the door triggers.. my alarm kept setting itself off like ever 15 mins.

 

Diodes are a poor way to do it. Its tough. I usually hook the door trigger wire to the dome light, still serves the same purpose.

 

How would the remote start work in a manual???

 

you have to bypass the clutch its a pita to do and if you mess it up say bye bye to your clutch
