i did and I know that much bud, I should have been more specific, let me do this again, what are you diy'ers cost and what other places that sell them for a better price? I would love a shop that will seel everything and not just some parts, preferable a clutch and brake warehouse.

DO NOT BUY A CLUTCH KIT FROM A PARTS STORE. I was going to do that but someone on here told me to get the ford kit.

It was the same price ($260) and the slave cylinder is pre-primed. That way you don't has to bleed the system (I would anyway, but you FOR SURE won't have any air bubbes in the slave). The one from the parts store will not be primed.

All you need besides the kit is a tranny shop to re-machine the flywheel (NAPA=$40, Shop=$25), a new clutch bearing from parts store(if you want it, not required, I recommended Timken at AZ), and a little DOT 3 brake fluid to top off the master cylinder after bleeding.

Have fun. The slaves a b*tch.

Thanks for your reply to this thread and I appreciate the heads up

If you are replacing the flywheel just grab one from NAPA. If you get everything at once you can manage just two stops. Parts store (NAPA or AZ for fluid, bleeder (?), the bearing, and flywheel. Dealership for the clutch kit (slave, pressure plate, clutch plate).

Also, I forgot to mention to get teflon tape for your flywheel bolts. You will want them real tight. Make sure you torque them back in the same order you removed them. I went clockwise then counter clockwise starting at 12 o'clock.

I assume that the assumption comment was for j99ranger4x4.

Well I have found a clutch/brake warehouse in my area, and they have everything, and because Im a former LE, I can buy everything for $200, Hugely discounted, I really appreciate your input as this is the first american car i have ever had, all my others are european vehicles which have a entirely different way of taking care of.
