im not sure wat ignition module you have but i have the DIS module. there is a black and yellow wire that comes out of it on the bottom. splice the wire into the black and yellow.

On the chart for the tach I have it says for 91-94 4.0's it is the tan/yellow stripe wire.

The tach signal can be tapped from the tan/yellow which runs between the PCM and the instrument cluster.

The PCM is in a pocket in the firewall in the driver side rear corner of engine bay. The tan/yellow goes from pin #4 of the PCM, through the firewall into the interior and on to the back of the instrument cluster. IMO, the easiest place to tap it for an A/M tach would be where the harness enters the interior at the large bulkead connector under the DS of the dash.

i couldnt find the tan/watever either mine is currently hooked into the black/yellow on the DIS module and works fine. but then again my orig. tach did not work so i had to improvise with the wiring diagram. the black/yellow carries the engine rev info to the comp. i believe.

It's in the 60-pin connector to the PCM. Pin 4 is the 4th one in near one of the corners.

Look for the color code.
