LED Blinker: Annoying OR

Hi I recently bought some new blinkers for my ranger and I'm not sure exactly what they are but they are LED and they shine a lightish blue and blink amber when the turn signal is on and I ran into an annoying problem
I installed the item by plug and play and everytime I turn on my blinker it doesn't pause and blink it's more of a blink constantly, making my turn signals very annoying.
I heard it's a problem with most LED's because they make a short or something.
If you do not get my description I'm sorry but there is no real other way I can explain it.
Thanks, Joey

you need a new flasher or some resistors on them

get an electronic flasher. led bulbs do not create enough resistance for the systems and triggers the hyperflash to tell you to replace the bulb,

How exactly do I do that?

Head to Autozone or wherever, and get an EP-27 electronic flasher.

Those links should help you find it on your truck...but your year may be slightly different - but I believe it's in a similar location.

They are called switchbacks. I have them as well. The EP-27 flasher will fix it

Yup, EP-27 electronic flasher, about $12 - $16 online or in most parts stores should clear up the led issues.
Led's have less electrical resistance than regular bulbs so the trucks think the bulb is burned out (like a dead bulb) so the truck blinks faster to indicate the dead bulb. The ep-27 flasher has built in circuitry to account for the led's & 99% of the time it will fix all your led troubles.

x2 I just did this a few weeks ago. the relay you need to replace is under your steering wheel area. Look up and you'll see a blue relay/box thing. to make sure you're gonna remove the correct one, turn your hazards on, and hold the relay, you should feel it everytime it flashes. remove the annoying christmas tree clip and then remove the relay from the housing and stick in the new EP27 in there.
