If you goto the dealer it would be more.. If you get the keys yourself you can have them cut anywhere that cuts keys but you can only program it yourself if you have 2 keys already.

You might be able to talk to someone at the dealer and see if they can do a side hustle for cheaper than the dealer price

Icon5 FYI:

If its the big black headed key:
Name: ROTUNDA011-R0164.jpg

Size: 3.7 KB
If so they are $20 each x 2 + $37.50 to program them ($77.50 + tax), and the truck has to be brought to the dealer, plus when you find the lost keys, you will have to program them again, but that you can do yourself.

If it's the flat headed key with FORD in the middle:
Name: ROTUNDA011-R0475.jpg

Size: 6.4 KB
They are $27 X 2 + $37.50 to program ($91.50 + tax)

Prices may vary from where you are, but those prices there are from our dealership that I work in.......................

So, the dealership is the ONLY place we can get a key programmed?
has anyone verified if Ace can do it or not?
I only have one key, I bought a second key and had it cut, now I need to get it programmed.
The price isn't the problem, leaving it at the dealership for 4 hours is the problem...

My Ranger only had one key when I bought it so I bought two new keys with the chip for $20 each on ebay and had my local hardware cut them and my owners manual that came with the trk has the method to program them.

For about $45 and a half hour programing I now have three keys.

The dealer did give me the push button key fob but I don't use it much.

yes, but you have to see a Locksmith. I lost the keys to my trailer and had to take the hitch lock over there to get a set made. Took them about 20 minutes, but they picked it, then counted the tumblers with the pick and made me a new set of keys. was pretty amazing.you'll have to pull off the top triple clamp and unplug the switch from under the airbox its not easy to take out just the cylinder. I had to drill out the bolts holding it in to get it off. Yamaha rounds the heads off and loctites the bolts in there.
