My 99 Ranger Fuel Gauge is Stuck On Full

My 99 Ranger fuel gauge is stuck on full and its starting to **** me off. I have changed my fuel pump and sending unit, checked the fuse for the sending unit, and have even check the ground on the Driver side upper radiator support, So my question is, Is there any other ground wires the branch off of the Main Harness from the tank to the ground in the front of the truck, or if anyone else has any ideas that could help me in the right direction?

Reading full all the time indicates an open circuit. If the grounds are OK there's possibly a broken wire between the gauge and the fuel sender in the tank.

Either that or the sender itself is faulty.

I'm having the same problem on my 2000, stuck way past full and disconnecting the connector on the tank and battery negative do nothing

Check this old thread:

Could be the gauge instrument is shot or some loose connection on the harness.
