Need reasons for not having airbags

So im trying to save money to put into my front axle and steering for the SAS.

I texted my step dad who has my insurance check and said"i shouldn't get air bags because eventually, crawlin I'm going to break my neck or something"

he came back with "pull the fuse while your wheelin" so i said "that wont work because it still holds an electrical charge" even though it only holds it for x number of minutes

he came back with some fancy mumbo jumbo about how they work and that i need to do more research.

soooo here I am, asking for help because that would save me great amounts of money

Don't be a dumbass. Airbags aren't that expensive if you look in the right place. If you're driving your truck on the street, get the airbags, or get a daily driver.
