headlight question

i was wondering if anyone has run into this problem. my headlights work fine on dim but when i change them over to bright the just turn off,no blue high beam indicator in the gauge cluster or anything.i changed the turn signal switch thinking it could have been the switch bad but no luck.so if anyone has any info on getting the high beams to work would be greatful. and thanks

you need to check the connector on the multi function switch(high beam) for power in and out and go from ther it could also be a fuse

before u check the relay u really need to check the power at the switch even if it was the relay it would still bring on the indicator

Ranger headlights don't use relays, they are controlled directly by the headlight switch and multifunction switch. Each low beam has an independent fuse but the two high beams and the IP hi-beam indicator are all on a common fuse. Check your 99 owner's manual for the fuse number.

Flash-to-pass bypasses the H/L switch and uses the multifunction switch directly to light the high beams. No relays.
