no power to windsheild washer pump

Hi all,
I have a 1989 ranger 2 wheel drive, 2.9L.
I have now power to the windshield washer pump. Can't hear the pump working when pressing the washer on turn indicator. Used test light at plug at washer motor and no power. Ran jumper wires to washer pump from battery and the pump works, squirts fluid just fine.
Pulled covers from steering column, and unplugged multifunction switch. Put power to the "purple/lime green" wire that goes to the washer pump, and it squirts just fine. I guess the MF switch is NG, but is there a way to clean the contacts in the switch, or is it easier to just buy a new MF switch? Everything else in the switch works fine.

Thanks
Lester

common failure. Got my MF switch on eBay for $30 delivered, works and feels much better than the worn out stock one.
