No Spark
Welcome to the forum
You should also include the Engine you have in the 2000 Ranger, 2.5l, 3.0l or 4.0l
When you turn on the key the CEL(check engine light) should come on, this means the Computer(PCM) has powered up, no CEL = no start
Computer is powered up by the PCM relay in engine fuse box
If CEL comes on then turn key to START and WATCH the CEL, it should go OFF when engine starts to turn, this means Computer is getting a good Timing Pulse from the Crank Sensor, no pulse means no spark and no fuel
Check Crank sensor plug in
Crank sensor is next to the crank pulley at the lower front of the engine, on passenger side, has a 2 or 3 wire plug in, these rarely fail, so long shot
