OEM 2011 Horn. Seriously?
OEM 2011 Horn. Seriously?
My Ranger has a single horn, and I want to add a second horn to give it a little more of a noticeable sound. The single sounds a little too 'excuse me', and I'm looking for more of a 'hey a$$ hole' sound. I have a horn in my possession, and I'm all set to install. Can I just simply tap into the OEM horn wiring?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Horn in my 95 was a normal horn but first time I hit the horn on my 2010 I laughed... what a joke of a horn.
I replaced it with a Stebel Nautilus Compact air horn. It's got the compressor and horn all built in one small piece so I was able to install it in the stock location with a little home made piece to hold it and wired it in with a relay (needs relays as they draw 18amps per horn).
I really liked the horn so I trimmed the plastic on the drivers side, made another bracket and added a second one. Horns work great and are nice and loud.
