I have a 400/600 inverter made by Coleman in my truck. It's not permanently wired in, but it should do the trick for what you need. I paid around $45 for it and it comes in a hard case with spare fuses and you can change the cables from either a 12V plug to gator clips to connect it directly to your battery.

would that work? i figure since i have to order parts for my car from them tomorrow, it wouldn't hurt to get that.....
i am going to hardwire whatever kind i get to my aux fuse block.....the fuse block only gets power when the truck is running.....since it draws off my secondary battery in the tool box.....

Yea that inverter will do it long as that's all you plan on running. If u have a harbor freight by you they sell a bunch of inverters. I just got a 1000/2000 watt inverter for 50 that I put in my truck. If u want to put the inverter in ur box u could just use an extension cord to run it up to your console.
My 2 Cents.

i could always run it off my 2g wire for my amps, idk if thats a good idea tho.
