So here's the dilemma I'm in. I've been going through a lot of things with this truck trying to determine why it won't start. One member has been very helpful in terms of eliminating possible problems with this truck. But I have a hunch that my problem is the pats key. I've checked for fuel spark everything is there. Did the spray of ether into intake and it ran for a second then died. Now my real question is, when you turn key on there is a sequence of 6 chimes followed by a 7th different sounding tone and longer than the first 6. Is this normal? Could it be an indication that the key is not longer working? I only have the one key so it's difficult for me to determine if this is the actual problem. I took it to Walmart and they just told me it has a chip in it wich I'm well aware of. Is my only option to bring it to the dealer for reprogramming? Or is there something else going on?
