power trouble

So my 93 ranger xt seems to be having issues starting. When i turn the key it will act like i have a dead battery, and i then loose power to everything that is not wired directly to the battery. The current solution i have found is to open the hood and slap the power distrobution box and i will then have all power back and it will start. What do i need to do to fix this? Is it just getting a new power distrobution box? if so where can i find one?
Thank you.
I have also checked all the wires and connectors underneath the box and they are all good.

i have checked the grounds, all wires leading in and out, the bottoms of all the fuses and relays in the box, and it all checks out. i even wiggled each wire individually and was unable to recreate lossing power. i'm at a loss for what else to do.
