Power window shenanigans

Just bought a 2001 Supercab 4x4 4.0. Has a few issues, working them out slowly. One issue is the passenger window. It rolls down and up just fine from the drivers master switch. Figured it was the switch, put a NEW one in. Well, that worked, sort of. Now had full control of the passenger window from the passenger window switch, however, the master switch on the drivers side couldn't do anything with the passenger window now. Odd. Thought maybe I had a bad master switch / a defective new passenger switch. Picked up a couple of different switches from the junkyard today while trying to find the elusive bucket seats and center console. Still the same thing. No control over the passenger window from any master switch with the NEW switch plugged in, However, the junkyard switches did give me working autodown on the drivers window, that didn't work before, so that's a plus. I was unable to find any passenger window switches in the junkyards, only master switches. Odd I thought.

Any suggestions? Anyone else have a problem like this before? For the time being, I put the original switch back in the passenger door, just so I have control over the window from the drivers side. It's kind of a head scratcher. I have access to Alldata, mitchell, and identifix at work. Yeah, I'm a mechanic, however, I hate chasing wires, especially on my own vehicles. I have a sneaky suspicion I'm going to be chasing some wires in the door trying to figure this one out.

Side note, when I was checking the truck out before I bought it (so I knew how much to low ball the dealer), I noticed the carfax report said it went to the dealer for a power window issue last year. Didn't say what the issue was, maybe I can give them a call and give them the vin number and they can tell me what the issue was.

Could be a body control module issue sometimes when they go bad it causes strange things in the wiring. Never heard your exact circumstances before though.
