PROBLEM.....the truck hesitates/shakes when driving/accelerating :(

Ok all......got a shaking problem when accelerating in all gears.

drove to work today and it started half way there.

the truck hesitates/shakes when driving/accelerating......also idles rougher it seems.

does sound more like a bad cylinder/sprak plug issue or a bad u-joint?

1994 3.0 supercab 5-speed 4x4 with 175000 miles...

thanks!!!!!

Check the simple things first like vaccum leakes, bad hoses etc...

Do you have any engine codes/check lights on?

Are you sure its 30? I just tried to look it up online and couldnt find anything.

On a differnet note, does the problem feel/sound like and engine problem or a brake/steering/suspension problem?

the code scanner says 30.

i am starting to think it is an engine problem.....why would the idle be different if my original ujoint guess was bad?

i am hoping a bad plug.....

It could be either. Are you on the original plugs? If so I would change all of them and then start with the wires if that dosent help.
